Barbara and her husband of forty years, Buddy, "retired" from the Fairfax area, but after teaching and working in a variety of area quilt shops over the years she wanted to keep active in the business.

Barbara has quilted since 1980 and loves working in reproduction fabrics. She has taught hand stitching and quilting for Fairfax County Adult Education.

Barbara has two chilren and five grand-children, and divides her time between the grandkids, traveling and another passion, wedding cake decoration.

In 2003, in Staunton, Virginia, a six year-old Malamute-Husky mix dog named Mosby, a local icon, storefront pal and friend to many was shot point-blank, and killed. Mosby's death was felt not only in Staunton, but across the US as the story of his death spread. From that tragedy sprang The Mosby Foundation: organized exclusively for charitable purposes, to assist in the care of sick, injured, abused and neglected dogs through financial support and public education. Take a look at their web site, read Mosby's story and help support The Mosby Foundation!
