December Is No Time For rest

After all our October and November excitement, now would be a good time for a break. But you didn't think we'd rest, did you?

October saw our first participation in Tour de Quilt. November brought our annual buying trip to Houston's International Quilt Market, and Quilters Quest.

But wait, there's more! With three weeks left before Christmas, we plan to fill them with fun activities.

Stuff Your Stocking Events

During each Friday and Saturday during the month of December we'll hold a Stuff Your Stocking event. We'll send out an email each Thursday night announcing that week's special. Stop in during the following two days to take advantage.

Since we're publishing this newsletter on a Thursday, here is your special for December 2 & 3 ... All pre-cut fabric, which includes Jelly Rolls, Layer Cakes, Charm Packs and Kelly's Cuts, sells for 30%-off!

Stampin' Up with Mindy

On Friday, December 9, at 10:30 AM we'll host a Stampin' Up with Mindy event. Join Mindy for a couple of hours making Christmas cards and gift tags that will impress your family and friends. Event fee is $15, and that includes the complete kit for two cards and two gift tags. Mindy will have additional kits available for purchase.

Space is limited, so call to reserve your spot.

Make & Take

On Saturday, December 10, we will co-host a Make & Take event with the ladies from The Red Thread knitting and yarn shop. We'll run a morning and an afternoon session at both locations. Spend a few morning hours on one side of 5th Street, break for lunch, then spend a few hours on the other side of the street.

For your project at Kelly Ann's we will introduce you to playing with wool by making a decorative felted wool lapel pin.

At the Red Thread, let the ladies guide you through making a knitted glass ornament cover.

Wait ... there's more! We've arranged for an optional pre-ordered combo sandwich lunch, from the wonderful staff at Great Harvest Bread, for $8.00.

Registration for the Make & Take event is $10, which can be paid at either Kelly Ann's Quilting or The Red Thread. A kit fee at each location will cost between $8.00 and $10.00. Add $8 if you desire lunch.

Both shops have limited space, so call and reserve your spot.

Long-Arm Quilting for Christmas Projects

Christmas is right around the corner! We offer long-arm quilting services to finish your treasure in style. Choose batting, thread and pattern and we'll have it back in your hands right away. Don't wait too long, as Irma only has a few spots left.

Going Green Drawing

In an effort to work greener, Kelly Ann's is offering a great deal to our customers. While shopping, each time you decline one of our plastic bags or bring in a bag of your own, you can enter your name into a monthly drawing for a $10.00 gift certificate.

Charitable Action

Starting Thursday, December 1, through Saturday, December 17, we will host a food drive for our local food bank.

Drop off any canned or pre-packed food item and enter to win a $20 Kelly Ann's Quilting gift certificate.

And now, the winners of last month's Pantie Raid and Pillowcase Sew-In. We ran both the Pantie Raid and Pillowcase Sew-in at the same time, so I thought we should have two winners.

Thank you to everyone who dropped off panties and pillowcases. In three days we collected 44 pillowcases and 25 packages of panties. The ladies and children at the shelter really appreciate all you do for them.
