Happy New Year!

.... we're excited about 2011 and we hope you are too ....

2011 will bring lots of new and fun happenings to Kelly Ann's Quilting. To begin the year, we're excited to present our new website, and would love to hear what you think.

You'll notice the new menu bar that runs across the top of the page, here you will find links to Kelly Ann's blog, our online quilt show (yep, we're keeping that!), our sewing machine and long-arm quilting services, and our classes.  If you click now you'll just see a calendar but do not fear, the staff of Kelly Ann's is busy working on what they want to teach in the new year.  This calendar will also show club dates, just in case you forget to write them down.

New web site, new clubs, new faces, same customer service and fine products. We're excited about 2011, and we hope you are, too.

Thimbleberries

The new Thimbleberries Border Blast 2011 club begins Saturday, January 15, at 10 AM.  We have a limited number of spaces available, so stop by the store to secure your spot in this fun, new club.  Here's a preview of what we'll work on:

Sew With Irma

On Sunday, January 30, Irma will be hosting a charity sew-in from 12 noon to 4 PM.  Her project will help patients suffering Alzheimer's disease.

If you've ever been involved with an Alzheimer's patient, you know that they always seem to be grasping for anything they can put their hands on.  On the 30th we will be making aprons that are worn by the patients, with safe attachments to help keep their hands busy.  Irma will be donating fabric from her stash to help the cause.  Just bring in your machines, sewing supplies and we'll supply the rest.

Coming Soon...

  • Sit and Stitch Embroidery Club
  • Clubhouse by Swirley Girls Design
  • The Minnesota Road Show in Virginia

Going Green Drawing

In an effort to work greener, Kelly Ann's is offering a great deal to our customers.  While shopping, each time you decline one of our plastic bags or bring in a bag of your own, you can enter your name into a monthly drawing for a $10.00 gift certificate.

The winner of the $10.00 going green store credit is Martha Chandler of Broad Run, Virginia! Thanks, Martha, for your efforts in helping us go green at Kelly Ann's Quilting.

New Saturday Hours

Beginning January 8, our Saturday hours will be 9:30-4:00, adding another hour to pick up those last-minute weekend project needs.

Walk For The Cure

Kelly Ann's is proud to let you know that two of our own will be walking in the 2-Day Walk For The Cure, April 30 through May 1.

Dolores Crooke and Laurie Sanders, better known as the Quilting Boobies, will be training over the next several months.  Each walker commits to raising $1800, and we're planning functions and events to help these two special ladies raise their $3600.  We'll have a quilt raffle, a "bras for cause" decorating contest, and lots more.

We'll keep you posted here on our website, our Facebook page, and in-store posters.
